Situated on beautiful Maraetai Beach our Club actively promotes all types of boating and encourages all types of aquatic sports, sailing, and junior sailing programmes. Socialising and dining is also high on our priority list and a very active Fishing Committee holds competitions and fishing events throughout the year. The Social Committee also holds various functions in and out of the Clubrooms throughout the year for its members and their guests. The Club is the venue of such events as the Around Waiheke Yacht Race, a Two day one-based Fishing competition which is held around Anzac Day each year, as well as a very popular annual Friday Fishing Tournament and the Reel Girls Fishing Competition which takes place mid February each year. When it is available, we hire out our awesome Club rooms for Weddings and other private functions. Contact us for a Wedding Package. From time to time Day Skipper, VHF courses etc are held in the Clubrooms. Members are notified prior. We encourage all our members to join Coastguard and take advantage of their educational courses for boaties. The breakwater provides excellent shelter for the floating pontoons and boat ramps and enables boats to be retrieved all weather situations. Overnight and weekend parking, as well as all year round dinghy locker facilities are offered to members. Washdown facilites are also available to rinse the outboard motors. Limited winter time hardstand parking for trailercraft is offered to members at a set price on a first come first in basis. The club grounds are open to its members 7 days a week every day of the year. Access being by swipe card through the electronic gates. Membership is still available at present and anyone with an interest in boats, or even just keen on socializing is welcome to apply. Belonging to a Club is a great way to meet new people and entertain your friends. Our subscription rates are extremely reasonable.
