The Club Championship Fishing Series is based on the Cobbald Sheild points format. Over the six fishing competitions we hope to find the best 12 fishermen / women to represent the Maraetai Beach Boat Club in the Interclub Cobbald Sheild. All Expenses paid.
The anglers best four from six competition points will be totalled to find the 12 Club Champions. Points for fish will be allocated as follows:

One bonus point is awarded to the angler catching the largest fish for each species.
Tickets $10 per adult, $5 per child under 14yrs and available from competition start time. Only members as of 18th October 2009 will be eligible to represent club in Cobbald Shield. All anglers will be eligible for the $500 (1st), $350 (2nd) & $150 (3rd) prizes at the final prize giving. Prizes of $150 (1st), $100(2nd) & $50 (3rd) will be awarded to the top points scorer each competition. Kids $50 (1st), $35 (2nd) & $15 (3rd) - Major prize of Bicycle at final prize giving. In the event of a tie the angler who weighed there catch first will win. If anglers from same boat first and second prizes will be awarded.
Start times:
Friday Comps: 3pm -> 8pm. Weigh in between 7-8pm. Ticket sales from 3pm -> 6:30pm.
Sunday Comps: 6am -> 3pm. Weigh in between 2-3pm. Ticket sales from 6am -> 10am.
Each angler can weigh one fish per species. Maximum of 20 points per competition if they get the largest fish in each species which earns one bonus point. Taking the best four competitions points out of six means a total of 80 points is possible. Let's see how close we can get.
